The Earth does not belong to us: we belong to the Earth.
African Game Lodge is a private reserve of approximately 4,500ha situated in the Langeberg Mountains in the Little Karoo, just outside Montagu. The reserve is typical of the Little Karoo: arid-looking at first glance, but home to a vast number of species that thrive in this sensitive region.
Wildlife includes Eland, Oryx, Kudu, Springbok, Wildebeest, Cape Rhebok and endemic species such as Klipspringer and Duiker.
The Cape Floral Kingdom is the smallest, yet richest plant kingdom on earth and is internationally recognised as a global biodiversity hotspot.

African Game Lodge lies within the fynbos biome and includes Cape reed family plants, heath components, Proteaceae, renosterveld and mesemb species typical of the Succulent Karoo.
The geology of the area is rich with rock and fault formations, fossils and evidence of ancient glacial movement through this part of the continent.
